Boone County National Bank
By Tina Lehman onWhen my husband first moved into town before we were married, he opened personal and business accounts with Boone County National Bank here in mid-Missouri.I had accounts at a more nationally-recognized bank, mostly because I have never dealt with a smaller bank such as Boone County.
Each time my husband went into the bank he was very impressed with the level of service. They greeted him by his name each time he entered the building. After we were married, we opened a joint account and then purchased CDs for our children's education fund. The interest rates and features they offer with their accounts are every bit as good as the larger bank I use.
Boone County National Bank has an online banking system that is very easy to use. We pay many of our bills from our joint account using their online bill payment system and have never had a problem. In fact, we received notice from our phone company that they had not received our payment for two months. My husband went into our local branch, and immediately the customer service representative called the phone company, faxed records to the company showing we had made payment, and straightened things out.
There are several branches in mid-Missouri and all of them that we have entered have had the same outstanding level of customer service.

Impressive service from Boone! I love small town banks. Generally they are friendlier, offer more personalized service and offer some great features.
Very nice personal service. I love when you get recognized by name when you walk into your bank. This is the way they treat us too at our bank. We could go to another branch that is closer to our home but they aren't as friendly. The small town banks tend to be friendlier and willing to help because they know you. Big banks could care less because they have so many other customers...you end up being a number.
Glad they were able to straighten out the phone bill issue, that's some good customer service for you! How nice to also be known by name - that doesn't happen very often anymore.
