Normally, a doll this size will cost more but because I bought this at a "chinatown" store, the price cost less than that of the original dolls.

If someone says that they bought something from a chinatown, the notion would be that the quality is very questionable but so far this doll has been very sturdy. No matter how many time my daughter would toss and slam this monkey, it remains in shape. I have not seen any defects or whatsoever with this doll.

I know that there were issues before about made in China toys that is why I was reluctant on buying this doll. My daughter's persistence in owning her own boots doll gave me away. I guess it is good not to generalize all China products as there are really good ones in the market. It is how the store owners take care of their merchandize that will determine how good a product is.

So far, I have no violent reactions over buying this doll. It was a worthy investment because eventhough it is fake, it actually looks better that the original ones except for the hands. Whoever created this doll must have been really talented to have been able to capture the facial expressions of boots.
