The Revolutionary War was a conflict that changed the world forever, giving way to the birth of the USA, the economic champion and juggernaut of the world. However, on the often overlooked side of the battle, the British side of the revolution, times were tense as well. In the book The Reb and the Rebel by Constance Savery, a young British girl named Charlotte meets an American rebel who was sent to her uncle's home to be held in custody. While visiting her uncle, she has a growing interest in the rebel. While she is forbidden to speak to him at all, she still wants to be friends with him and maybe even plan his escape.The book starts off very dreary and boring and the pictures are even drearier and stupid looking. This was made in Britain, so everythin sounds so unnatural and awkward.

The plot seems exciting at first, but then it gets quite boring.

Don't buy this book. It might be too old to find in any bookstore anyways- who cares about it?
