Reviewing: Born Free Drinking Cup
Purchased at: Amazon.Com     Price: $10.99 USD

In my continued search for sippy cups containing no bisphenol-A, I purchased two from Born Free. This cups is free of toxins that are in many plastic sippy cups, so is safer for children. The handles are nice for little hands, and the spout is soft.

When assembling the cup for the first time, however, I lost track of the number of times I said "are you kidding me?"This cup comes in six pieces! It is difficult to take apart and reassemble easily. So, you really have to pay for the bisphenol-A-free nature of the cup. This cups also leaks about a milliliter of fluid when it is first tipped over. This is not a problem for my toddler, except occasionally but I would not give it to my 9-month old.

In short, I am going to continue my search for a bisphenol-A-free sippy cup.Born Free cups are way overpriced and rife with problems.

You would think that some companies would have jumped on the fact that this problem has been in the news so much lately.

Despite the fact that it is bisphenol-A free, I don't think i could pay that much for something that was a pain in the butt to put together and take apart. Thanks for the great information!

Wow, that is just way too many parts. I have thought about looking for the safe sippy cups but it's hard to know which ones are worth it. I already use Dr. Brown bottles, which you may know have tons of parts! I sure don't want to go to something else that may be even harder to clean. Ugh!! I swear children's products are never simple anymore lol. Thanks for informing me about these.

Thanks for letting us know about this product. We need easy to use and safe products but it sounds like this one doens't meet expectations.

A good sippy cup is worth its weight in gold, too bad this one did not deliver.

Six pieces? Why on earth did they take such an elemental cup and break it down this way?? It makes no sense. how unfortunate this is. here you are trying to find a bisphinal -A free product safe for your little ones to drink from and get this. I'd write to the manufacturer Frogdoc.
