Bow Flex Sport By jennz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My husband and I purchased the bowflex sport for both of us to use. We both have used free weights and machines before and considered purchasing a home gym with weights but after researching it we decided to go with the BowFlex. We chose the Sport model simply because it was the best value. It has everything we wanted, the rowing option, the leg attachments, and the lat bar, and bars up to 300 pounds. We chose not to buy the optional additional bars to add more weight, that can always be added later. My husband set up the BowFlex himself with very little problems. It is extremely easy to use and easily adjusts for different people. The leg attachments let you do extensions and curls very easily by putting a small seat on the end - when you do this you wonder if the seat will hold you but don't worry - it will! A small manual is included and it gives you an eating plan and workout plan based on bowflex's 20 minute/3 times per week plan. The plan is a six week plan and is very easy to start and increases your workouts every few weeks, but always keeps it to under 30 minutes. There are other exercises shown as well. Because BowFlex uses the bars instead of weights you do not get your expected soreness when you are done, but you still know you had a workout - your muscles are nice and tight. This has been worth the purchase price for us, we love it.

Seems pricey, but if you are saving gym membership costs for two people it suddenly looks better!
