I really wanted a children's DVD which would specifically teach the numbers 1-20. I bought Brainy Baby DVD 123's hoping it would help my children to count to twenty. This is a very good educational DVD. The Brainy Baby DVD series consists of many DVD's which focus on certain developmental tasks. I did not buy the series but I can speak for this particular DVD. My children enjoy it. Their attention is focused on the numbers and different displays on the television. My favorite part is the lady's voice. It is very pleasant and calm. Some DVD's can really be loud and irritating...not this one. I like the presentation of the numbers using different objects. For instance, the DVD will show five stacking clowns and count each one to show kids how to count......four butterflies and count 1,2,3,4. The objects are really brightly colored to keep the child's attention. The DVD emphasizes recognition of numbers as well as early math skills. The child can sing-along with the songs and enjoy many activities devoted to learning to count. The DVD is 45 minutes long and has won over 40 national awards. I highly recommend Brainy Baby 123's DVD!
