Bride Flip-Flops
By Kakoa onI'm not a big fan of dressy shoes with heals. So when I was getting married, I knew I was not going to end up with the traditional kind of of wedding shoes everyone thinks of. I knew I didn't want heals #1 because they are hard to walk in and very uncomfortable to me, and #2 because I didn't want to be as tall or taller than my now hubby.
My mom found these bridal flip flops at a small bridal shop while in Hawaii, and she knew they would be perfect for me! Even though I could not try them on for myself, she sent me a photo and I said yes, I wanted them. She bought my size and brought them home. They fit perfectly and I was so excited!
This sandal is completely white and has crystals and pearls along the tops of the straps. The bottom is stiff so that it acts as a solid shoe, but it is still flexible enough to give a little when you step. The straps are made of leather, so they are very durable.
I had a spring wedding and the weather was just getting nice out. It was still a little cold, but not too bad. My feet were so well covered by my dress that they never got cold. I was thankful that I had them on at some points in the day so that I could just slip in and out if I wanted to stretch my feet.
I wore these sandals the whole day and night of our wedding day. They were quite comfy and had just enough padding on the bottom that my feet never ended up hurting. I took them with me on our honeymoon and tried to wear them around the resort. For some reason the strap of the left foot started rubbing on my skin and irritated it badly. I'm not sure if it was the sand, salt, or the way the sandal was settling to fit on my foot, but it was bad. I have since tried to wear them out for a day and had the same problem. I heard recently that you can rub Vaseline on the strap to soften it, but I have not tried it yet.

I wish I would have known about these when I got married!
Bridal flip flops, these are too cool, I love it.
What a great idea to wear flip flops on your wedding day-gotta be comfy for that long day!! I'm sorry it started irritating your skin though!
Your bridal flip flops are very beautiful! How lucky you were that your Mom spotted these in Hawaii! I am sorry that they started getting uncomfortable and do hope that the Vaseline works. If not, perhaps you could cut a piece of moleskin (sold in pharmacies) and stick it on the underside of the area of the strap that is bothering you.
What an adorable shoe for your wedding day!
My daughter would just love these. She is not a heel wearer at all. Have to keep my eye out for this when the time comes. Thanks
hahaha! Did they make noise? I can't seem to get the hang of flip flops and always end up making a lot of noise in them. They are adorable. I was recently a bridesmaid in wedding on the beach and we went barefoot. Of course afterwards, we had heels on, but they were stacked and pretty comfortable to wear.
I am the flip-flop queen! You should of seen the look on my mom's face when I said I wanted to wear them with my wedding dress lol. Maybe if I had these she wouldn't of been so horrified at the thought! I love them, very pretty!
