My toddler son is fascinated with phones. ANY kind of phone, cell, cordless or corded. He has even 'hidden' one of our cordless telephones and to this day we cannot locate it! Well, afraid that he would 'hide' my husband's or my cell phone, I decided he needed to get his own.

I was in WalMart and was this cute cell phone for infants 6 months and up called Friendly Flip Phone. When you open the phone makes a musical tone and then says, "hello" and when you close it it says, "good-bye!" There are three animal friends your baby can call; a mouse, a kitten and a puppy. Each time the phone is opened, a new friend appears in the top half of the phone. The botton half of the phone features a numbered keypad that beeps in different tones when the numbers are pressed. The is also a yellow music note key on top of the numbered keypad that plays This Old Man, Hickory Dickory Doc or a ring tone when pressed.

This phone was amusing to my son for only a short time as he is a smart little guy and wondered why his phone didn't ring or the keypad didn't light up and no one talked to him when he put it to his ears. I do have to say that this phone is very durable though as my son decided to throw it in hos bath one day. I thought it was ruined and tried to save it by using a blow dryer to get most of the water out. This seemed to do the trick and I still works fine to this day.
