Bring the 'heat' with you

Ever have that one room in your house that just doesn't seem to keep warm? Well, we do. It's the room over the garage. It has two big ceiling to floor windows and is very drafty. Luck has it that this is the room that we converted to an upstairs play room for the kids. It get lots of use during the summer but in the winter the kids prefer to play in their rooms or another part of the house. Due to this, we thought we'd first check out the heating vents and circulation but my husband hasn't gotten around to it yet. So, as an interim solution I purchased the Lasko Ceramic Tower Heater to keep the room nice and toasty while the kids play in there.

It comes with a remote control and a digital display. The remote control takes 2 AAA batteries, which was also supplied. The digital display indicates that the unit is powered on. The temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit but is easily changed to Celsius. The unit also oscillates back and forth, quickly spreading the heat around. It has a timer function that allows you to set a maximum running time for the heater before it will automatically turn off. There is also an automatic temperature function that will start the heater if the temperature falls 1 degree below the set temperature or turn it off once it reaches 2 degrees above the set temperature.This heater uses 1500 Watts on high heat so we tend to run it on low heat.

Until we can correct the central heating system vents in our home, the Lasko Ceramic Tower Heater will continue to be used when the kids are in the playroom. I feel safe knowing that I have the ability to set the unit for maximum time and/or temperature. The kids love that they can still play in the playroom and not freeze. This is great heater to own.
