Brinkman Deluxe Gourmet Smoker By 999frights on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I am giving this Brinkman Charcoal Smoker a 3 because it is a good smoker and I don't really have complaints, but it is just average. There is not anything about it, in my opinion, that makes it more special than other smokers.
I bought this smoker because my friend has one and he raved about it. I've had this for a year and have only used it about 5 times. I like it because it is easy to use and the meat has turned out very good. The only exception is when I did a chicken on it. The meat was very dry. I have done ribs and salmon and those have turned out great. There are other meats I would like to try, like a Turkey, but the smoker takes so long to cook it. I would have to put it on in the middle of the night and I don't feel safe about letting the smoker sit outside unattended for that long. I cooked ribs on it twice and both times they were very tender. I like that I can add different flavor charcoal chips to get a different flavor out of the meat.

I love a good smoker, especially the wood fired ones. Slow, slow smoking creates a memorable taste in most meats and fowl. Truly it is safe to leave it smoke all night. The fire never gets hot enough to cause a problem, and that long smoke time helps seal in juices.
"I like that I can add different flavor charcoal chips to get a different flavor out of the meat" this part really give me a big WOW... that is something nice
Yummm. It sounds like a decent smoker for a pretty good price...Too bad you can't try a turkey on it but I agree, I would not want to let it smoke all night while I slept.
