Brita Filter By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have owned this pitcher for two years now. It holds about 1.5 Liters. The filter needs to be replaced about every 2-3 months or so. It's in 4 pieces, the container which holds the filtered water, the tub that holds the filter and the unfiltered water, the filter, and the lid. Everything can be taken apart to be cleaned. It's a bit of a hassle to clean just because it's kind of large and I have a small sink.

The water taste pretty good. It doesn't filter as well as the PUR filters, but it gets rid of the tap water taste. It takes about 5 minutes to fully filter 1.5 L. The lid has a flip-open cap to pour water into without removing the whole lid.

It is pretty convenient, however, it is a little large. The design is kind of awkward as the container can clearly hold another Liter or so, but is designed so if it holds more than 1.5 L, it's very hard to pour. As a result, there is a bunch of dead space, making it taller and larger than necessary.
