At 6 months my baby boy outgrew his infant car seat so we started to look for a good car seat for him to move into. Last year I was ploughed into by a man answering his cell phone instead of driving. This has made me totally paranoid about car seat safety and I did many, many hours of research trying to find the right model for my precious love. Britax lovers RAVE about thier car seats and they also have 5 star ratings so this is the brand I decided to go with. It's also very well known in parenting circles that Britax has a good safety record. My only question was between the Deacathalon or the Boulevard. In th end, price won out. Britax was having a closeout and I scored a Boulevard for a very nice price. When we got it I was MORE than pleased. It feels very high quality, plush and comfortable for baby. It also features true side impact protection which makes me feel good as a mother. It was a bear to get installed as we had to go to the dealership to have tether mounts installed in our 1999 Durango, but after that it is locked in super tight. I am very glad I bought this car seat and am proud I scored such a great deal.
