The Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat is one of the top rated convertible car seats for safety. It has side impact protection built into the seat itself with deep side wings for impact protection.

This car seat is very comfortable for your child with soft materials and cushioned padding. The head rest is easily adjustable using a knob on the side of the car seat without reinstalling the seat.

It has a tangle-free, polyester, five-point harness and push-button latch connectors that is very easy to use and is a breeze to tighten and loosen so that you can safely secure your child. It also has a unique feature called the Versa-Tether for energy management in a collision, and rear and forward facing recline for child comfort and a body pillow for positioning.

The Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat fits children rear facing from 5 to 33 pounds and children forward facing from 20 up to 65 pounds, so the large monetary investment pays off in not needing to buy several car seats as your child grows.

It is a little hard to install (the instructions are not that easy to interpret), and it is large. We can only fit it rear-facing in the middle of even my husbands big dodge 4-door pick-up, but we feel that our daughter is safest in this car seat.

I would definitely recommend this car seat!

This whole car seat thing is quite a puzzle. They were just coming out, and of course optional, when ours were little. This one sounded to me like it was everything one could want to save money in the long run, but then you got to the part where it only fits in one place in one vehicle in the rear-facing position. That can't be good. Wow... such a complex subject.
