Britax Decathalon
By Teachergal onI really researched which car seat to buy when our daughter began to outgrow her infant car seat, which I loved!I decided on the Britax because all of the reviews were so positive and it definitely shined as the safest brand of car seat.We got the Decathlon because I thought the padding would help our baby to feel cozy and protected, as she was still used to her infant seat and she's pretty tiny.I am so surprised that it has been a difficult transition! The straps are very hard to pull tight, and she screams every time I put her in the car seat and adjust them. My friend said she had the same problem with the Decathlon while it was rear-facing, but that the situation improved once she turned the car seat around. It is also hard to install and never feels quite as tight as our infant car seat did.I am hoping the situation will improve when we change to forward-facing, but so far I am not impressed. The padding is great though, and I am just praying it's as safe as they say it is- then all of our struggles will be worth it!

For that price you should get perfection!
I too hope things will change once you change this into a forward facing seat.
