Britney Spears Gets In The Zone By nightwing on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a pretty good album, a much more well-rounded and interesting effort than any of Britney Spears' previous discs.

A couple of the songs are just flat-out fantastic. Everytime is a beautiful ballad, and really the first good ballad that she has ever put out. It is nice to listen to her sounding so open and vulnerable and it is easy for me to relate to the subject matter of the song. Her duet with Madonna, Me Against the Music, is great fun to listen to, especially for me being a Madona fan. Toxic is a song that even lots of Britney-haters admit to liking. The song was unlike anything she had done prior and was a completely new sound when it showed up on the radio. It's great and it is my favorite of all her songs from her career. Outrageous is also a fun song with a great vibe and groove going on through it.

The song Touch of My Hand is actually a fairly good song, but I just don't like it coming from Britney. It just makes me feel like she is trying to hard and trying to be like Madonna with the song.

This is a fairly good disc. It features Britney Spears having a hand in the writing of many of the songs and seems to signal her taking more control over her music. It is absolutely more satisfying than her previous records.
