We have been very pleased with this laser printer. I worked for an office supply company for many years and have experience with many varieties of laser printers. My first personal laser was an okidata and I loved that machine, the brother had surpassed my okidata. I have been very pleased overall with the brother line of printers, and will most likely remain loyal to this brand. It prints quickly, toner cartridge will give you a minimum of 1200 prints before needing to be changed. I know I have gone well past that. Toner cartridges are about $63, which is not bad at all. This is, in my opinion, definitely a personal printer as the paper capacity is about 100-150 sheets at a time. Whereas in an office setting most would prefer a capacity of 500 sheets (a full ream of paper). However in a small office environment, this would probably an acceptable and affordable option. We have had this printer for several years with no complaint, and we have yet to need to replace the drum unit. I am very pleased with the print quality and speed, and highly recommend this printer.
