It operates on 6 "AAA" batteries or AC adapter. At 1.04 lbs, it is very light weight. It automatically adjusts the text size according to the tape width. It uses a variety of Brother's (3.5mm) non-laminated tape.

Pros: No ink residue. Cut the label cleanly and allows for neat removal of the back tape.

Cons: At almost $20.00 a tape, the replacement tapes do not seem to last long and cost almost as much as the machine itself.
