Buffy Season Five
By JoadsShovel onSeason Five contains one of the most interesting character shake-ups of the series. Without ruining it for you, a certain character comes literally out of nowhere, and depending on who you are, you'll either love it or hate it. After a slightly aimless 4th season, Joss Whedon and Co are back with a deeply ingrained season-wide arc which is full of surprises. Admittedly, the first two episodes, which deal with Buffy vs. Dracula (I guess they had to address it sooner or later) are pretty weak, but immediately afterwards, the season really starts with the addition of the aforementioned character. The Big Bad of this season is pretty unique- but I won't say much about it because figuring out just who she is is part of the fun. This season marked the end of the WB broadcasts, with the season continuing on UPN the following year, and as a result, we get a pretty cut-and-dry finale in the final episode- one that could serve as a series finale as well. Akward start, but bold choices and character development make this season one of the best. Be on the lookout for a really great Giles moment in the season finale.

Was one of my favorite TV shows. Buffy and Angel *sighs*
