I have been using Miracle Gro poducts for years and years in all my gardens and on my houseplants, and have always been happy with the results. This past spring, a friend of mine recommended their Shake N Feed with Weed preventer, because I was complaining about the inordinate amount of weeding I do. For some reason, crabgrass just thrives in my gardens!!
So I went and got some, I found it on sale, which was a bonus. I made sure to put it down before I mulched, so it would have the best chance of working. It was so easy to use, I literally had my 5 yr old doing it in "her" gardens! It's just like it says- you literally just shake it over the ground using the convenient little wide-angle spout.
Then, I waited.
It has now been 6 weeks since I put this down, and I have yet to see ONE single blade of crabgrass, or any other weed, for that matter! I am completely sold on this product, and my back is very happy with it as well! :)
Just in case anyone googles this product or goes to the Scott's website, I just wanted to add that there is a government recall on this currently. I called the company, and it has to do with labeling guidelines mandated by the EPA, it has nothing to do with the quality or safety of the product. Just to give everyone a heads-up!
