Build A Bear Workshop Nintendo Ds By jennz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Build-a-Bear for the Nintendo DS is genius...it follows the store experience from beginning to end: choosing, stuffing, putting the heart in, fluffing and yes even buying the clothes. You get to name and adopt your new furry pal and then off to the cub condo to play games, earn buttons and buy things. This is rated "E" for everyone. My daughter is 9 and LOVES this game, she is also an avid Build-a-Bear fan. This is very intuitive and I think would be great for younger kids as well. Since it follows the store experience so closely most kids will know what comes next. I did think it was a little too commercial, too much of an ad for BAB, but maybe that's just my inner cynic coming out. This is designed to be very kid friendly, and the 4 games are "mini" games - in other words, they don't take long to complete. It's not immersive and there is no killing or dying. This also takes advantage of the DS wireless function...if a friend has a DS they can play different things together. Overall, a very fun DS game for the kids, I highly recommend it.
