Burt's Bees Peppermint-y Foot Lotion

I received this Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion free as part of a contest win. I am a sucker for minty foot products. To me, feet shouldn't smell like feet - they should smell like breath mints.
The tube I received is .47 fl oz. (14 ml). It is a cute mini size that comes in the Essential Body Kit. This Burt's Bees product is 100% natural and is not tested on animals.
I was really looking forward to slathering my feet with this. I was mostly looking forward to: scent, moisture and TINGLE!
The lotion does smell minty, but at the same timethere is some fragrance in the background that smells a bit offputting. I can't place exactly what it is, but it doesn't smell purely like mint.
When I apply it, I notice that the lotion is light and spreadable. I applied it in small amounts, even still after rubbing in, it leaves a slick, wet residue. This residue subsides after further rubbing. Though light, the lotion is creamy and I find it softens and moisturizes my feet well. It makes them feel much smoother and softer.
Unfortunately for me, the lotion completely lacks tingliness! At no point whatsoever did I feel a twinge of a tingle, and I am perplexed as to why it does not tingle since it has menthol and peppermint oil in it.
Though I am not completely satisfied with the scent, how it absorbs and the tingle-factor, I will continue to use it until I run out of it due its softening properties.
Sounds to be an effective lotion. But as you said it lacks tingle factor and also as you are not satisfied with the way it absorbs and the smell, I don't think I will ever go for the product. Thanks for stating your true feelings about the lotion.
I agree, triptibaby. When I go shopping to buy foot lotion, I wouldn't buy this one either. I definitely need something with a cool tingle (And, having a better scent and absorption wouldn't be half bad too!). Thank you for your comment!
You like Burt's Bees products, don't you? :) I think they are great too and the only problem is, this product is not sold here in Dubai or probably I just have not discovered the place where it is sold ;) Thanks for sharing this info!
