Bushnell 10x25 Folding Binoculars By jb_shops on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I would love to have a nice pair of binoculars with high quality glass, but they have two huge drawbacks – cost and size/weight. So I have compromised with a pair of binoculars that aren't too difficult too carry yet provide an improve view on the action.
Size: small enough to fit into pocket with minimal bulk.
Image: the image quality is fine and acceptable. I would recommend you stay away from the expensive models – once you fly in first class you will never want to go back to coach.
Case, straps, etc: All of these are garbage. The cord feels like dental floss around your neck. The soft nylon case offers little benefit.
Other: Finger prints kill the image quality. I would recommend carrying a microfiber cloth with the glasses.
Conclusion: For the price these aren't too bad for sport events, hunting, and other outdoor activities. I am still saving my pennies for a Cadillac version and hand these down to my son.
These weigh 8.5oz.

Hey, at that price, if they work enough to enjoy viewing sports events and other things, are simple and compact enough for most anyone, that's a good deal!
10 x 25 is pretty good. Any chance you have a kitchen or postage scale you could weigh these on? Backpackers need to know these things! Love my 12x Pentax, but really need to switch to something smaller.
Sounds like these binoculars are great for hunting and other outdoor activities. Bushnell makes quality products. Sure, you can pay more, but if these work for you, then you got a great deal.
For the price they are good for sports events and hunting. Sorry the straps are cheaply made and that fingerprints mess up the view. Have you looked on e-bay to see if you could get a deal on a more expensive brand?
Bushnell usually does pretty good binoculars. Will have to stay away from this model! :)
Well, I guess you get what you pay for. But at least they work somewhat :0)
I would only need these for sporting events or concerts too so these sound like they would be perfect for my needs, thanks.
