Buttercream Yankee Candles... Mmmm Mmmm Good!

I am a candle lover.I have owned and burned many brands, sizes and scents of candles in my life, but Yankee Buttercream is still my favorite!The scent makes me think of warm sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles... vanilla cupcakes... it's almost enough to make you hungry!

There are many features of a Yankee candle that distinguish them from their lower priced competitors.If burned correctly, a large 22oz Yankee jar candle can burn for up to 150 hours.Some lesser quality jar candles will burn a hole right through the center of the jar, wasting a lot of wax and money.Yankee candles will burn cleanly and evenly all the way down.In order to do this, you must wait until the wax is liquified all the way to the outer edge of the jar before blowing out the flame.This does take a few hours, so don't light one if you only have a little while, use a smaller candle for this.Also, make sure your wick stays centered and keep the wick trimmed to avoid black smoke in the jar and in the air.Also, the scent is throughout the wax and not just on the outside, making them very fragrant.

A lot of people will say that Yankee candles are too expensive.I can burn a Yankee the same amount of time as 2 or 3 cheaper, lesser quality candles and they smell so much better.The scents they offer are just amazing.If you haven't gone into a local cardshop or other Yankee store, go and give them a sniff--you'll quickly become a fan also!
