I confess, I hate children's music. That leaves in a bit of a bind, as I have a two and three year old. However, after seeing Laurie Berkner perform her song "Bumblebee" I decided to give her CD a try. And I love it!
All the songs are fun. Some are rewritten oldies, like "I've been working on the railroad" while others are her own creation. All of them are enjoyable. Even my two year old goes around singing the songs, which is so cute! They especially love acting out "Lots of Little Pigs" with the wolf knocking on the door and blowing the house down.
The best quality of Laurie's music is it's not annoying! So many children's CDs are dumbed down or include poor singing. Her singing is excellent and the songs are actually entertaining for both children and adults.

We love Laurie at our house. We have her DVD and my son loves it. You're right about her music not being annoying. Is is sad that when i get a song tuck in my head these days, it's usually by Laurie Berkner? :-)
Ah, it is sooooooooo lovely to hear that there are actually non dumbed down CD's for our little ones. Most are so achingly vapid and inane, even toddlers have been known to smirk:)
This sounds like a great CD for the little ones! I've never heard of Laurie Berkner before...wlll have to check her out!
