Cabela Outfitter Camera
By Rae777 onCabela Outfitter camera is a nice outdoor camera. This camera is to be mounted on a tree or some other platform outside and it detects motion and takes a picture of whatever moves in front of it. We been using it to see what comes into our backfield. If you live in a place where there's a lot a wildlife and you want to see it this might be the camera for you.
It comes with two cords and you just hook them around a tree and point them where you want camera to take pictures and it goes off whenever it detects motion. You can leave this outside all night in freezing temperatures. Some of its features are:
It runs on D batteries- and they seem to be lasting for quite a while
You can put up to a four gb memory card in it.
It's five megapixel
This camera takes still images and video clips
It has 16 mb internal memory
This has been a lot of fun to use. I've seen a lot of deers and bucks. It takes pretty good daytime pictures. Nighttime photos are little grainy but still good enough to clearly see the deers and that some are bucks. It does a better job then I do when I try to capture pictures of wildlife. It works best if the deers are close to it. The flashing light does not seem to bother them.
The only thing bad about this is it is a bit heavy and you have to work with it to get it into the right spot to get the best pictures. I would love to see them improve onthe quality of pictures it takes at night.

I've never seen these at Cabelas, but it sounds really neat.
This sounds really handy, especially to take pictures of unwanted visitors if need be!!
