This adjusting, racheting clamp will hold a rolled extension cord or other stringy thing.

This wasnt exactly what I was looking for, but I decided to try it and see how well it works. It comes in four sizes.I bought the large (but not Mega). Their web site shows many uses for the various sizes everything from appliance cords to hoses.

It is basically a hard plastic loop. The top part has a pistol grip sort of handle. There is a hinge in the loop so it can open. The end of the loop is notched and slips into the handle. You can set it at any notch (to make it larger or smaller), and release it, by continuing the pistol analogy, by cocking the pistol.

They claim it is the best alternative to single-use twist ties, tape which leaves sticky residue, or hook and loop fasteners that (they say) degrade. They show it being used to wrap and clamp a cord to things like a vacuum cleaner, electric mower handle, etc.

They also say it is made with durable polymers and stainless steel.

Well, it is easy to put on my extension cord, and to take off.If I ever get the pegboard up in the porch I could actually hang it up.

The hard plastic and rachet mechanism seem to me like it might not last too well, especially if kept outside, but only time will tell.

This could have gone under Hoses- Accessories. If I like it Ill probably get some Mega ones because keeping the hoses rolled for winter storage is a horrible task.
