Cable Dsl Wired Router By TexasTink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After trying many wireless routers, unsuccessfully, I decided to just go with a wired router. I researched the different brands and heard lots of good things about Linksys, so I visited my local Target to purchase one. It was around $35-$40 on sale. I brought it home and popped the software in. It not only told me step-by-step how to hook it up but showed me with very clear and detailed illustrations. It was so simple. It then automatically detected my internet and configured my router and that was it. I had internet access immediately. The router has a 4-port switch, which I then plugged a second ethernet cord into for my living room computer and my son's Wii system. We now have access to the internet from 3 different locations in the house. Although the router comes with an ethernet cord, I invested in two 25 foot cords to reach the other rooms in the house. After so many attempts with the wireless that kept dropping the signal, I am very pleased with my wired network system. I recommend Linksys brand routers to anyone looking to set up their own network.
