Cadbury Mini Eggs By ohthethinksyouwillthink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Every year I look forward with great anticipation to February 15th. Yes, that's correct, the day after Valentines. Why? Because that's when stores start putting out their Easter candy, and that means Mini Eggs!

If you've never tried Mini Eggs, stop reading this and go straight to the grocery store--they're in season!

Mini Eggs are small chocolate candies, each about the size of a Peanut M&M. They are made of solid Cadbury milk chocolate (the very best kind of milk chocolate, in my opinion), and are coated with a crunchy candy shell. The shells are all pastel Easter/springtime colours to fit the season.

If dark chocolate is more your style, Cadbury has recently released these treats in a dark chocolate version as well.

It's impossible to just eat one or two Mini Eggs. They just keep begging you to come back for more! That first satisfying crunch, then the smooth chocolate melting in your mouth is just too good to resist. I always enjoy them as a special treat each spring.

Mini Eggs come in a variety of sizes, from small personal-sized pouches, to large party packs. I highly recommend that chocolate lovers try some for themselves, or to share. Just be warned, if you put them out for your Easter guests, be prepared to watch them disappear!

Happy Day!  Cadbury is now releasing these candy-coated wonders at Christmastime too!  Christmas Mini Eggs come in "Red" (pink) and Green, and are all the yummy that I remember.  *new pic*
