Caesars Pocono's Paradise Stream Resort By Dadof2Disneyboys on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
For our fifth anniversary my wife and I went to the Pocono's in Pennsylvania. We hardly ever leave our children, so we wanted to go somewhere nice and romantic, but not too far away. The Pocono's is about a six hour drive from where we live.
So, when you think of the Pocono's you think of the Caesars Palace Resorts. We checked them all out online and chose Paradise Stream. It looked to be very nice and the quietest. It was all-inclusive and we went for two nights over a weekend.
Our room was called a Villa. The Villa's are each their own separate building. So it wasn't like a hotel or motel where the rooms are connected. So that made it nice in the fact that we didn't have to hear other people. The inside of the Villa was nice, not quite as great as the pictures made it seem, but still nice. There was a nice little living room with a TV and a fireplace. There was a huge round-shaped bed and the bathtub was heart-shaped. Off the living room was a nice balcony over looking a small lake.
There were numerous activities included that you could choose from. Also available was a nice indoor pool, indoor mini-golf, and a basketball court. There was also nightly entertainment in the huge lounge. The meals were very good. You get a lot of food. What I didn't like about the dining was that you were seated at big round tables with other couples. Some people might like that, but I didn't really care for dining with strangers.
Overall we had a nice time. I don't remember the exact price, but I do remember my wife and I thinking that we probably wouldn't return because it was too expensive and we could go to better places for the same amount of money.

Never been to Poconos. It sounds like a really nice place to vacation at. Might have to keep that in mind for the future.
I would not want to be dining with strangers either!
We spent our honeymoon in the Pocono's 30 years ago!
We have never been , but it sounds great! I like the fact that they are in seperate buildingds, not just rooms.I have to agree the only down side sounds like the dining situation.
Oh gosh I would not want to be seated with a bunch of other couples. No way! If I'm on a vacation with my significant other it's just me and them, I don't want to be making friends with other people. LOL Sounds like you had a good time and a round bed and heart shaped tub?! Oh my!
I did not know Cesars palace had a place there. Interesting. Too bad it was so expensive.
I'm glad that you & your wife were able to have a little bit of a getaway at the Poconos!! My husband & I would like to go there one day!!! Did you see the champagne glass jacuzzi?!
sound like a great place i should try to go there
Too bad you couldn't have ordered in your room. How romantic that would have been. Dining with strangers can be fun, but not on an intimate trip for two.
Thats odd that they make you sit with other couples. That would make me very uncomfortable lol. Thanks for the great information about your trip!
