Call of Duty : Black Ops

Call of Duty : Black Ops is the 7th installment of the Call of Duty series. Created by Treyarch, they have a lot to live up to after the success of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare and Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2.

Treyarch have again taken the game back in time, but this time, instead of them taking it back to the World War, they have taken it to the cold war era.

In the campaign, you play as Alex Mason, a member of an elite special forces group who has found himself under interrogation. This is because of a strange set of number who only he can apparently make sense of them. The campaignis mainly flashbacks of operations that Alex Mason has undergone and things that have happened that could make him aware that he is the one who can decode the numbers. In my opinion, the campaign within this game is definately the hardest to understand out of all the Call of Duty franchise and I even had to replay a few missions to fully understand what was going on.

As the game is made by Treyarch, they have added their signature "Nazi Zombies" Gamemode. For those who played the Nazi Zombie Gamemode on Call of Duty : World at War, the formula is the same apart fromthe zombies are now more intelligent than they were before and there are three different maps, with the option to buy the four maps from Call of Duty : World at War and new, never-seen-before maps Treyarch will be releasing.

As well as all this, Treyarch have created a new mode for multiplayer. "Combat Training" allows you to play against AI opponents with or without friends to get a feel for the game before going out onto the battlefield and playing against real, human opponents. The bots' difficulty can be changed to your liking and as you rank up, so do they, unlocking new weapons attachments on the way.

Overall, I rate Call of Duty : Black Ops 4* out of 5.
