Call of Juarez is an action first-person-shooter (FPS) for the Xbox 360. The newest in a very short vein of Western games to come about in the past few years, following in the footsteps of Red Dead Revolver, Dead Man's Hand, and GUN. Call of Juarez has you playing as a young Billy Candle, searching for the gold of Juarez, trying to find out who murdered his family, and running from his Uncle Ray. On the flipside, you also play as Reverend Ray, young Billy's uncle. A self-proclaimed hand of God, he's a pastor turned pistolero, out to hunt down Billy, who he believes is a murderer, and punish the evil that walks God's earth. The game plays through in episodes and, while they can be frustratingly hard, the game flows nicely from episode to episode and the dual characters give the game a lot of depth and keeps it from being stale. Overall, an underrated title.
