The nice thing about this is that it will give you the nutritional facts on any food you want even before you get to the store. So if you are trying to plan out your grocery list before you go shopping and you want to make sure that you get items that will help you to stay focused on your daily calorie intake than this is the device for you. The batteries are included which is always an added bonus. I do think that the price is a little on the high side, which is why I chose to buy it when it was on sale instead of paying the regular price. I would recommend that you shop around and try to find the device a bit cheaper.
