Reviewing: Calphalon Bundt Cake Pan
Purchased at: Amazon     Price: $20.00 USD

My family loves bundt cakes. And I've had a real problem finding a good evenly heating Bundt pan. One day, while looking around online, I came across this Calphalon pan on sale for $20.00 at Amazon.com. I had had experience with Calphalon and was very pleased with the small saucier I owned.

When it arrived, and I opened the box, the first thing that struck me was how attractive this pan was. And it felt solid and extremely well balanced. The instructions called for washing it out with warm soapy water before using it, which is a step I recommend. This removes any hidden dirt and residue from packing.

I baked a plain butter pound cake in this pan, and when cool, I simply turned it over a plate, and a perfect fluted Bundt cake slid out. It was simply gorgeous, with a nice lightly browned edging.

Even though it is labelled non-stick, I did spray it lightly with PAM, before pouring in the batter. Cleanup was so easy to. After the pan completely cooled, I simply washed it in hot soapy water-no scrubbing needed, and put it away.

After going through 3 other Bundt cake pans, and having most of the cakes come out cracked or missing flutes or swirls due to sticking, it's a pleasure to finally have a reliable and easy to care for piece like this.

Amazon often has this item and others on sale. I have a recipe section in my Google account, and it displays daily shopping alerts from Amazon on Calphalon and other good cookware and bakeware.

If you want a reliable and heavy duty Bundt pan, you can't go wrong with this one from Calphalon.

This sounds really perfect for bundts. Haven't made one of those since the 70's, I don't think!

We're not real big on overly sweet anythings, so bundt cakes kind of satisfy that craving without the sugar loads of other cake types. I normally just buy a mix from the store or make a pound cake in bundt form. Topped with summer fruits and a dollop of fresh whipped cream they are delightful.
