Camcorder for Kids
By Robin Crossman onI bought this digital camcorder before Christmas and was going to give it to my son for his birthday, which is just after Christmas. It was on sale at Canadian Tire for $39.99 and is regularly $79.99.I brought it home and thought I would test it out to make it sure worked properly. For starters, there was no sound and there was no volume control button either.I assume there may have been a malfunction in this camcorder and for some reason the sound wasn't working.I found the buttons to be really small and hard to push.My son sometimes has co-ordination problems so I thought the buttons may frustrate him.The picture quality was terrible.I know that this is a toy but the resolution was less than 1 megapixels and the video was very fuzzy.I'm not sure how durable this camera would be over time if it got dropped.I couldn't imagine paying full price for this product and even at a sale price of $39.99, I still feel its not worth the money.I am just glad that I tested it out beforehand. When I returned the product, I got a hard time from the customer service clerk. She didn't really believe that the volume didn't work and she would have tested it if I had left the batteries in it.She also tried to convince me to exchange it for another one.I said I was not happy with it overall and I got a refund.

I was going to buy this for my nephew for Christmas last year, I did see it on sale too, something made me put it back, glad I did. Even though I like the deals I sometimes find at Canadian Tire their return policy is tough, they don't like to take things back especially if you don't have a reciept or if it is over the 30 day policy!
