Oil of Olay has been making great body wash for years.It should be no surprise that they have yet again created a rich, thick, new version scented with lavender.

Actually, Olay has gone a bit far and over-scented this product.The first time you use it, the bouquet will overwhelm you.This seems to be partly intentional, as the marketing touts this as an aromatherapy product as much as something to cleanse and hydrate your skin.

Regardless of the smell, the body wash does lather well on a pouf.The thick composition makes it cling well and the bubbles last on the loofah.It does not perform well as a bubble bath, however, because of these very qualities.If you want to relax in the bath with the scent of lavender, this is not the product for you.If you want a natural aromatherapy product for relaxation, look elsewhere.The tongue-twisting chemicals far outnumber the natural ingredients, here.

As with most Olay products, the Calm Release body wash leaves smooth, moisturized skin behind.The heavy mixture doesn't rinse clean because it isn't supposed to do so. You will come out smooth and flowery, whether you want to or not.
