Candy Land Castle Great First Game By nicolemm on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My 4 year old has asked for this for quite some time. I was hesitant to buy it for her, because she had already mastered Candy Land and I felt this was a step back for her. However, her Poppop bought this for her about two weeks ago and I must say I was right, she played this for a few minutes and not again. The age on the box states for children 3 -6.

However, my 2 year old absolutely loves this game, we play it everyday. It has helped teach him his colors and also how to share and take turns.

The game comes with four cards, the color pieces and a holder that dispenses the pieces. There is a lever that you pull when it is your turn. The directions are on the back of the game cards (not that they are even needed). However, the one down side was that the original packaging is not a box that you can use to store the toy in. So, it can not really go on a shelf with the other board games.
