Cannon Powershot A50 By Alon Alalouf on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My first digital camera, the Canon Powershot A50 camera, has been my first digital aqcuisition for an ameteur photographer, replacing the old generation manual cameras i use to use.

The camera has got an interactive menu, wish sounds and little illustrations accompanying each category (which change according to themes you can pick, for example "Nature").

The 1.3 Megapixel and the 2.5X Zoom is good for ameteurs that take pictures for their pleasure, the control over exposure and ISO are at a minimum, The maximum resolution is 1,280 x 960. the battery used is 2CR5 lithium battery which is included with the camera. The memory type of the camera is CompactFlash and the camera comes with a 8mb CF card.

Overall for a first digital camera, the Powershot A50 is a great pick, especially for ameteurs that want to experience with a camera. though the camera functions slowly, and the image transfer cable accompanied with the camera is sluggish as well, i would recommend a USB CF card reader with this camera.
