Canon A430 Digital Camera By mhydock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I had purchased the Canon A430 as a lightweight point and shoot camera to take with me on outings. It is a 4 megapixel camera with the all important 4x optical zoom. The optical zoom is important to me because it works much better than digital zoom. The LCD screen was large and provided a good view of what was being shot. The shot to shot time was good and the shutter speed was average to other cameras I have owned. The only problem I had with this particular model is that it uses AA batteries and does not provide a rechargeable alternative. This problem all but forces extended users to purchase rechargeable batteries and a charger if they plan on an outing where they may need an extra set. The size of the camera is small enough to fit in my large hands and take along in my pocket. I would recommend this camera for those who don't mind shelling out a little extra for rechargeable batteries.
