Canon Canoscan Scanner By shanks on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Whether i need to scan some text, a whole bunch of images OCR this is the device i rely upon. Easy to install and use, one click operation, requires no maintenance.

The two features i would like mentioning are the high resolution and bit depth. The 3200 pixel-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution helps in scanning the images with great details (be it a color or black and white).Provides 48-bit color depth leaves nothing back.

It also does good in when it comes to speed. It took around 9 seconds to scan 4- by 6-inch and 5- by 7-inch photos at resolutions up to 400 ppi and just 30 seconds to scan a slide at 2,400 ppi. I also enjoy scanning documents be it OCR or scanning documents to PDF format. But I don't think this is one device which should be used for business use.

It was the price which let me grab this peace but now i am happy to have this.

Nice scanner there with 3200 pixel-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution and 48-bit color depth , your scanned product must look real nice.
