Canon EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS Camera Lens

My husband and I have a Canon EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS camera lens for our Canon camera.It came in a kit along with the camera, but by itself this lens is about $400.00.The lens is good for general purpose shooting, but in my opinion it is not a professional lens.It has a plastic body, which is the downside, but we always take good care of our camera equipment, so that has not been a problem so far.This lens takes clear, crisp photos with vivid, true colors.Both my husband and I have used it and have had no problems with it.It also has image stabilization, which helps to take care of picture blur.
Pros:Good all purpose lens, takes nice pictures, not too expensive as far as photography gear goes.
Cons:Plastic body, not a professional lens.
If you just want to do general picture-taking, you should have no problem with this lens.My husband and I have been pleased with its performance, and even with the plastic body, it seems to be holding up just fine.
