I bought this for my husband to videotape our first child. I did quite a bit of research before buying this on different websites and think I found the best camera for the best price.

The camera is easy to hold and the design allows you to use the features easily. The area for the tape is easily accesable if you need to change tapes in low light.

Video quality with a high definition tape is amazing. It looks great when played back on our plasma TV. You can use the 10x zoom to get closer to the action and can even take still pictures if you want. I have seen reviews that say the camera does not do well in low light, but I have not found this to be the case if you follow the instructions.

There is also a remote control so if you want to video Christmas morning, or anything else, you can be in the shot too!

I highly recommend this camera, however, I would watch the sales and look for coupons to lower the price of the camera. I have seen it as low as $700 with the right sales and coupons and would not recommend paying full price.
