Canon Pixima I P1800 By theFlyingExecutive on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Canon Pixima iP1800 Photo Printer is tremendous value and a great component of any amateur photographer's workbench. Its borderless printing creates prints that look as if they were professionally developed, providing the same, clean-edged photos. The printer also is capable of handling standard letter-size paper, and actually is quite speedy when printing black and white documents, nearing the speed of a laser printer. The software suite bundled with the printer is also quite robust for a a printer of such value. Aside from Adobe's functional Photoshop Album (though already free) works quite well with Canon's photo-printing utilities. The Canon programs are able to create several layouts on many different sizes and orientations of photo paper, a welcome addition to such an inexpensive machine.

I'm looking for a high quality albeit inexpensive unit like this. I'll keep this one on my short list.
