Canon Pixma iP 1000 Printer: Noisy but High Quality

I had bought Canon Pixma iP 1000 for home use when my HP printer got defunct. I wanted something that would be affordable, lightweight, requires less space, looks good and ofcourse have high printing resolution and could print photos reasonably well. Pixma iP 1000 catered to all my demands and I am very happy using it for the past one year without any glitch. It provides me with A one quality printing and you would be amazed to know that many ask me whether it's a laser one or not! Yes, the quality is that good.

In addition, the speed is quite satisfactory as well which HP or Epson did not provide me with previously. Even though speed was not something I had looked for, it feels good when you get your stuffs in a jiffy. Now, coming to photo and web printing its above expectation. I can now print my own photos and greetings card at home and that too without a photo printer! I hardly could find any banding across the photos.

The most amazing is the maintenance thing. It did not require any cleaning yet and that saved a lot of ink! In the long run it gets very cost effective. Canon Pixma is very effective for home use. It has nice look and consumes less space as well.

However, the printing sound gets over me many times, specially when you are doing your job at the dead of night. It's loud and noisy and another drawback, if we could say so, is that the printer doesn't come with a output tray. But then, that's the only cons that I can well bear with given the pros it has to offer.

Overall a very satisfactory experience.
