Pixma iP1700 is a variant of Canon inkjet printer family that launched on 2007. This series has same design and speed with Pixma iP1300, the different part is only on the package, iP1700 included both color and black cartridge but iP1300 only included black cartridge. The average speed is 14 ppm (color) and 22 ppm (black) with 4800 dpi resolution. The package is bundled with complete manual, so user can install it without worry. The normal noise is so disturbing because of the speed. If user want to change into silent mode, so the noise will be reduced but the speed become slower. With the average price of US$50, this printer is good to buy to take part as your printing partner on home or office computer. However, this series is now become rare because Canon had launched their new ergonomic printer, Pixma iP1800.
