Canon Powershot A410 By crazycol on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased the Canon Powershot A410 almost two years ago when our local Kaufman's was bought out by Nordstrom's. This camera was originally in the $150 range but because they were closing it was greatly discounted. The Canon Powershot A410 Digital camera turned out to be the perfect digital camera for me. We have used this camera for taking photos of vacations, family events and lots of sunsets. It has 3.2 Megapixal resolution and a 3.2 optical zoom. This camera is compact (4.1" x 1.6" x 2" and weighs less than a half pound) and fits easily into your purse or pocket so that you are ready to take a picture in a moments time. It runs on two AA batteries which make it easy to keep running, you can also use rechargeable AA batteries to save money. It uses a Sandisk memory card or a Multimedia card. We upgraded ours to a Sandisk 2MB card which holds more pictures than we could ever take at one time. The Canon Powershot A410 also has a video capture feature which enables it to take short video clips when needed. There is also 16MB of internal memory. It has a built in flash with several flash modes available, these include: slow synchro, auto mode, no flash and red-eye reduction

The Canon Powershot A410 camera includes several shooting programs as well which are portrait mode, fireworks, indoor, stitch assist, foliage, kids & pets, night snapshot, snow and beach. The Canon Powershot A410 uses AVI digital video for video capture and JPG for still shots. Other features are: Direct print, auto power save, digital noise reduction, date/time stamp, DPOF support, display brightness control, digital image rotation, Pictbridge support and motion print. I can't comment on all of the features as I have used only a few of them.

The Canon Powershot A410 camera can be connected to a PC or a MAC computer to transfer photos to your hard drive or burn to a CD. I have personally used this camera with Windows XP and Windows Vista with no problems. If you are looking for a reasonably priced camera that has lots of features and takes great pictures this is the camera for you.
