Seems this digital camera is an upgraded version of one of Canon's earlier digital cameras. I haven't used that one so I shall talk only about this one. It is a slim, light camera by Canon. Picture resolution is 7.1 megapixels. This is relatively low compared to the other cameras I have tried. However picture clarity is still maintained. It comes with a 4x Optical Zoom and 4x Digital Zoom. Relatively higher than most cameras and the zooming distance is clearly seen. It has optical image stabilization capabilities that greatly reduces blurring due to movement. It can auto focus and the lens exposure can be controlled manually or can be set to automatic. The A570 can also record movie with sound, with its sound quality fairly good and the video motion is fluid. But the most endearing feature of this camera is its face recognition. It can detect a person's face and lock on to that image no matter where the person moves. Very useful for facial expression capturing. In short, a good camera by Canon. Although they should've increased the optical zoom range.
