Canon Rebel Xt 350d By joeshmoetogo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The canon rebel xt (350d) is to me the best low end DLSR camera available on the market. It can be found used for under $300 or new for under $400. For that price the picture quality can't be beat. The camera will go up to an ISO of 1600 and provides very good pictuer quality with minimum noise. The body is very light, combined with a 50mm f/1.8 you can create the lightest body/lense combo in the DLSR world... a combo that will produce stunning images. The battery life is amazing, a single battery can often see as many as 800 pictures before needing to be recharged. The only drawbacks I have found with the camera are that the AF can sometime be a bit tricky; and with a limited number of AF points, more veteran photographer may find it a bit limiting. The light body can also be a problem if you do not have a steady hand, but that critique shouldn't take away from how truely amazing the camera is.
