Canon Rebel X Ti By Sixfalls on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I recently purchased the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. It came with an 18 - 55 mm lens and I also purchased the Canon 75- 300 mm zoom lens.

The camera takes great pictures in the automatic mode. Anyone who has used a point and shoot could easily use this out of the box. I was also impressed with how easy it was to start using the advanced modes. Within an hour of taking this out of the box I was taking "Creative Zone" pictures.

The bundled software allows you to take RAW images and manipulate the data without the problems associated with compressed JPEG's. The basic lens (18 - 55 mm) has yielded some pretty good pictures.

I am very impressed with the fast response of the camera. It will literally allow you to take one picture after another without pausing to display on the LCD or to save the image.

The only drawback, and this is very minor, is the need to use the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen. The LCD screen is only for reviewing pictures that have been taken and to display the shot properties. As this is the only drawback, I highly recommend this camera.
