Canon SD1000

I love my Canon SD1000.Its a great small size-easy to pop in your purse or a pocket.Despite its small size, its pictures are great (its 7.1 megapixels).The camera has what I consider to be a great amount of options for different shooting modes:Fireworks, Foliage,Aquarium-even my personal favorite and most-often used, Kids and Pets.The Canon SD1000 has a face detect feature-I havent actually noticed a difference in my pictures, but its interesting when I focus a shot and it finds the faces.It uses a proprietary battery, which I was worried about, coming from a camera which used AA batteries.However, Ive found that the battery has a long life and its easy enough to charge.Ive used it for short video segments as well as still photos and been happy.
