The Canon ZR500 Camcorder is a perfect gift for people with children. I bought this one last Christmas. My twins were just born, and I didn't want to miss out on those "special" moments. This camcorder doesn't have all the latest gadgets, but it does have the basics for capturing the things you want remembered. It uses the Mini DV tapes. It has a 25x zoom. The size is nice and small, so no more bulky, heavy camera to lug around. I've used this product on a lot of different occations. From bringing home the twins to there first birthday party. I'm sure they will cherish these special moments forever, and I'm thankful I didn't "miss" them! I would highly recommend this camcorder!
